Talking God Describes Time as a River, 48X37"
The idea behind these triptyches is to solve certain problems.
- Make multiple, completely different subjects work together as a whole.
- Push to the very edge of aesthetic complexity without crossing over.
- Push color to the very edge.
- Make decay beautiful.
- Demonstrate that patterns repeat from microscopic to infinite.
- DDo it all with two obtrusive lines passing through the canvasses.
In this case, I do the above by repeating shapes and values through the work, and by crossing the lines with my patterns,
I believe the viewer moves them in front of the work (like window frames).
